Going Yard Training Centre was pleased to present Fall Ball 2018. The goal of GY Fall Ball is to improve the fundamental skill level of each player, and to instill fun and overall excitement for the game of baseball. Going Yard Baseball has a lot to offer for information and learning the game, and to develop relationships with other baseball players in the city of Saskatoon and area.
Fall Baseball offers two programs:
(1) The Instructional Program: an instructional 12 week camp. Held primarily outdoors at Geoff Hughes Baseball Complex where players will work on all aspects of the game.
(2) The Fall Ball Team package: registrants can expect 2 weekly practices, games, and a culmination tournament in Phoenix, Arizona. By registering for this program you are looking to extend your season with skilled coaches that will work to strengthen the fundamentals of your player in a team setting.
Package 1: GYTC Fall Ball (Instructional League)
Age Range: 8 to 16 years old
Designed for players who aren’t ready to put the glove away just yet and want to improve their baseball skills simply for the love of game. Fundamentals are the focus and are adaptable to all skill levels. Hitting, pitching, defensive, and mental aspects of the game will be will be worked on, allowing you to become the best player you can be.
Package 2: GYTC Fall Ball (Travel Team)
Age Range: 11 to 18 years old.
GYTC Fall Ball players will be designated a dedicated qualified coach and, new in 2018, an assistant coach as well. Players will be placed on rosters and can expect weekday practices intermingled with weekend games/practices. Both home and away exhibition games with fall ball programs in Saskatchewan and Alberta are being arranged. To conclude, we travel to Phoenix for the school break in November to compete in the USSSA Veterans Salute tournament.
The amount of registrants at each age group will determine how many teams are created.
