Zach started his career in 2005 with the Saskatoon Division 1 Raiders as a second basemen. He switched to a full time pitcher during his midget years. His first Pitching coach was Don Bates, a national team level Pitcher and Coach, who taught me the fundamentals to fast-pitch. After bouncing around different zones in the city, Zach got the chance to represent Saskatchewan plating for team Sask in the 2012 western Canadian summer games. During which he won a gold medal, pitching the semi final game and starting in the finals. I have also received 2013’s all-star pitcher award in 2013 representing the city of Saskatoon. Just recently Zach has been announced to the top 40 National Athlete Pool for team Canada and hopes to make the Team next year. “I am very excited to help any young players that wanna learn the game of softball, which has offered me so many opportunities already!” – Zach Pierce
